The invitation follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for the project that appeared in the UN Development business on line Ref: AfDB716-10/14 of 24 October 2014 and the African Development Bank website on 22 October 2014.

The Government of the Republic of Uganda has received a loan from the African Development Fund (ADF) towards the cost of the EAST AFRICA’S CENTRE OF EXCELLENCY FOR SKILLS AND TERTIARY EDUCATION IN BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES PHASE 1 Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of these loans will be applied to eligible payments under the Contract for Supply, Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of Linear Accelerator System (LOT 1) and Positioning Aids and Dosimetry Equipment (LOT 2)

The Uganda Cancer Institute, hereinafter referred to as the executing agency for the project, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of Linear Accelerator System (LOT 1) and Positioning Aids and Dosimetry Equipment (LOT 2) under International Competitive Bidding (ICB) to be conducted in accordance with the African Development Bank’s « Rules and Procedures for the procurement of goods and works” May 2008 édition as Revised in July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bid document at the address below during office hours (0900 to 1700).

A complete set of bid documents may be purchased by interested bidders upon submission of a written application to the address below upon payment of a non- refundable fee of UGX 150,000/- (Uganda shillings One Hundred Fifty Thousand Shillings Only).

The provisions of instruction to bidders and the general conditions of contracts are those of the Bank’s Standard Bidding Documents for Procurement of Goods.

Bids must be delivered at the above address indicated below before 11 :00 am Local Time (East African Standard Time) on 10th October, 2017 accompanied by a bid security in form of an unconditional Bank Guarantee in the amount indicated below : –

Bids shall remain valid for One hundred and Twenty days (120 days) after deadline of bid submissions.
