Supply, delivery and commissioning of learning materials for nasawa, salima and Lilongwe technical colleges in Malawi

 This invitation for bids (ifb) follows the general procurement notice (gpn) for this project that appeared in United Nations development business online (undp online of May 2012), and on the African development bank’s internet website (www.afdb.org).

 The government of Malawi has received a loan from the African development bank (ADF) in various currencies towards the cost of higher education support project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan/financing be applied to eligible payments under the contract number 025/ipc/moest/hest/g/02/17.

 The ministry of education, science & technology education infrastructure management unit invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply, delivery and commissioning of learning  materials for nasawa, salima and lilongwe technical colleges as follows:

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at procurement unit, education infrastructure management unit (eimu), rainbow paint building, Paul Kagame road, Lilongwe, Malawi. Attention: Mr. Kalumba c.m mkandawire.

 A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of mk5, 000.00.

 A pre-bid meeting shall take place at the technical college’s board rooms, on the bidder’s cost. The time schedule is as follows;

The provisions in the instructions to bidders and in the general conditions of contract are the provisions of the African development bank standard bidding document for procurement of goods and services.

 Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 4th September, 2017 and must be accompanied by a bid security (bank guarantee) of mk3, 000, and 000.00.

 Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 10:00am Malawi local time on Monday, 4th September 2017 at the education infrastructure management unit (eimu) board room.

 The interested bidders should deliver their bids to the address below not later than 10:00 am on 4th September, 2017.
